Traders Magazine Online News, September 16, 2019
BTIG announced that over the last year its Investment Banking unit has experienced significant growth. With an increase in its deal flow and banking activity, the firm continues to recruit sector and product-focused bankers to service the needs of a growing corporate client segment. Some of BTIG’s key additions include Corey Davis, Gautam Garg, Karen Koski, Colin LeStrange, Glenn Medwar and Dan Shea, who will each focus on structuring and originating transactions across their respective sectors and product lines.
BTIG’s Investment Banking effort continues to gain traction in facilitating advisory services for growth-oriented companies. This continued growth follows a successful launch of the firm’s Mergers and Acquisitions platform in January 2019. In the last two years, BTIG has executed more than 160 transactions across the consumer, energy, financials, healthcare, real estate, and technology, media and telecommunications (TMT) sectors. So far in 2019, BTIG also closed 60-plus transactions, serving as a bookrunner or lead manager in 25% of its capital markets transactions. Assignments varied across equity and debt capital markets, M&A and strategic advisory.
