Ken Savio joins Macquarie Securities in New York City as a senior managing director and head of Macquarie Securities in the U.S. Savio, with more than 20 years experience running and building equities businesses, will have management responsibilities for U.S. equities—trading, sales trading, research and derivatives efforts. He will work Macquarie’s management team to help further drive Macquarie’s growth in the region. He joins after a lengthy career at Bear Stearns in New York, where he held a number of senior management positions, including global head of trading and sales trading and global head of convertible securities. Most recently, he was head of global equities at Cantor Fitzgerald. Savio will have reporting lines to Stevan Vrcelj, group head of Macquarie Securities; Todd Steinberg, global head of derivatives delta one; and Tim Bishop, president and CEO of Macquarie Capital (USA).
Canaccord Genuity recently announced several additions to its equity platform, including John Jalbrzykowski and Matthew Miller in New York, and Shelby Buccellato in San Francisco. Jalbrzykowski joins as an energy trading principal after five years at Cowen & Co., while Miller joins as a sales trading principal following three years at Hudson Securities. Buccellato, a 10-year industry veteran most recently at Lazard Capital Markets, will be vice president of sales trading. All three will report to Jon Solodar, co-head of institutional equities. The company also announced the hire of Lynne Theurer and Lee Glenna as managing directors for institutional sales.
Jesse Lentchner joins BTIG as chief executive of its Asia-Pacific subsidiaries to lead the broker’s expansion in Hong Kong, Singapore and Australia. A 23-year veteran, Lentchner comes from Goldman Sachs, where he spent the last nine years. Most recently he was co-head of execution services for Asia. Prior to that, he was head of securities in India, where he built and ran the equities and fixed income businesses. Before moving to India, Lentchner was head of execution services and co-head of the equity sales trading desk in Tokyo. Prior to Goldman, he worked as an equity sales trader in Tokyo at Nomura and in Hong Kong and New York at W.I. Carr. He is based in Tokyo and reports to Kevin Chessen, head of international trading.
Randolph Anderson has joined QEL Systems Services, a provider of middle-office automation to broker-dealers, traders, exchanges and clearing firms, as vice president of sales. Anderson, a 20-year veteran, will be responsible for leading sales and marketing initiatives, creating business development strategies and consulting directly with clients on custom solutions. Prior to this, he worked in sales and trading roles at Merrill Lynch, Wheat First, Signet Bank and TAG.
