Traders On The Move

Mizuho Securities USA added four sales traders in New York. Ralph Basile and Vincent Sgherza both join as directors, and Noelle Pepe and Michael Moore both join as vice presidents. Basile, with more than 15 years’ experience, joins from Lazard Capital. Sgherza, a 14-year veteran, was previously with Barclays. Prior to that, he was at Lehman Brothers, where he began his career. Pepe, an eight-year veteran, was previously with Hapoalim Securities, where she spent three years, after stints at Soleil Securities and Janney Montgomery. Moore, an 11-year veteran, was previously with Dahlman Rose & Co., where he spent more than two years. Moore started his career as a clerk at Farina & Associates on the floor of the Big Board. He has also worked on the buyside at both Amaranth Advisors and Goldman Sachs Asset Management. The new sales traders all report to Brad Wilson, who heads U.S. sales trading.


Patty Kevin-Schuler, vice president of sales and marketing at BOX Exchange, was named a two-year term governor by the Security Traders Association. Schuler, a 25-year veteran, is also the 2011-2012 president of the Security Traders Association of Chicago. The appointment is effective Jan. 1, 2012.


Peter Mulieri joins Fox River Execution as a managing director in sales. Mulieri, a 20- year financial market professional, will focus on expanding the firm’s client base and electronic offerings. He comes from ITG, where he was a managing director and was responsible for the trading, sales, development and delivery of the company’s trading technology products and services, such as order and execution management systems and algorithms. He reports to head of sales Drew Mader.


Rosenblatt Securities has appointed Joe Mako to the newly created position of director of visual analytics. Though Mako is new to the trading industry, he is a recognized authority on Tableau Software. Prior to joining Rosenblatt, he was a visualization expert at S2 Statistical Solutions, which specializes in data mining and economic analysis for health-care companies. He reports to Scott Burrill, a partner and managing director at Rosenblatt.
