At least three three former Direct Access Partners traders have landed new jobs. Darren Croce joined Charlotte, N.C., agency brokerage Elevation LLC as a sales trader based in Jupiter, Fla. Karen Kowalewski joined the St. Louis office of North South Capital, a Chicago agency brokerage. Mike Cronin joined Wall Street Access in New York. Direct Access Partners shut down last month after it lost its clearing broker.
Shauna Hewitt Lambright joined Pavilion Global Markets in Chicago as head of the Canadian broker’s U.S. transition management initiative. Lambright previously held a similar position at Loop Capital Markets. In 2008, she sold her transition management firm, Lambright Financial Solutions, to Knight Capital Group. She then spent the next three years running the business.
Chris Sexton joined Merrill Lynch as a financial advisor in the broker’s wealth management division in a Denver suburb. Sexton spent 17 years as a trader, lastly at Wedge Partners, also outside Denver. Sexton started his trading career as an assistant market maker at ABN AMRO in 1996.
Ronnie Puzon joined WealthForge, a start-up broker-dealer that matches investors with start-ups, as a registered rep. Puzon was formerly a sales trader at Instinet in Boston. Puzon is also selling insurance and real estate in the suburbs of Boston.
U.K.- based hedge fund BlueCrest Capital hired Chadd Kirk as its new head of U.S. equity trading, the Americas. Kirk, an 18 year pro, was formerly head of trading of the Americas at Millennium Partners where he spent five years there. He is based in BlueCrest’s New York office.
