KCG Holdings, the newly formed group of Knight Capital and Getco, has landed another top equities professional, Charles Susi.

Susi will be joining in mid-August, a KCG spokesperson confirmed. He will head up product development for the firm’s client execution services group and will focus on strategy, design and implementation of new products. This is a new and senior role. Susi will report to Greg Tusar and Albert Maasland, co-heads of global execution services at KCG.
Susi, former global co-head of direct execution at UBS, left back in June, Traders Magazine learned. He was the second top official from UBS to leave the bulge shop’s direct execution, or electronic trading, department this year. Scott Stickler, the global head of UBS’ Quant HQ initiative, which provides trading and other services for systematic, black box traders, left in February.
Susi spent five years at UBS, having joined the firm in 2008. He was a well-known figure in the industry, frequently representing the firm at industry conferences and in the press.
Owain Self is now sole head of UBS’ direct execution department.
Susi’ arrival comes on the heels of Greg Tusar, who will arrive August 20. As previously reported by Traders Magazine, the former Goldman Sachs executive was appointed co-head of global execution services and platforms. Tusar will work alongside Albert Maasland and he will be responsible for KCG’s sales, products and platforms globally. He departed Goldman Sachs in May.
Tusar will join the management committee and report to Daniel Coleman, chief executive officer.
