These power players made headlines in 2015 and they will be the people to follow in the coming year.

They made headlines in 2015 and they will be the people to follow in the coming year. From the CEO of a major exchange to a pair of hard-driving regulators to a brazen hedge fund manager – there was no shortage of power players who made news in 2015.

Likewise, they will be people we expect to see making news in 2016 as the year unfolds.

What a year! Frank Troise jumping ship from JPMorgan Chase’s electronic trading service to ITG raised eyebrows, to say the least. How he rights the troubled broker-edaler after its wave of rough headlines will be worth watching in the coming year.

Also, 2016 is Robert Greifeld‘s final year as CEO of Nasdaq and it will be interesting to see what the industry veteran does in the coming 12 months as his tenure winds down. Plus, it would be hard to choose who has had the bigger year in headlines – the SEC’s Mary Jo White or the office of the New York attorney general Eric Schneiderman.
