State Street Global Markets hired Dan Duffy as Head of Equity Sales & Trading for the Americas. Duffy’s primary focus will be to advance the firms electronic trading offering and optimize the current value of the existing high touch sales trading franchise. Prior to joining State Street he was Head of Execution Services at Clearpool Group. He will be based in the firm’s Boston headquarters and will report into Dan Morgan, who leads the firm’s agency brokerage, outsourced trading and transition management businesses.
State Street Global Markets has also hired Samantha Lippitt for Electronic Sales and Mark Kepner as Electronic Product Specialist. Lippitt will be responsible for buy-side engagement on electronic trading and Kepner will be the trading desks algorithmic product specialist. Prior to joining State Street, Lippitt was head of buy-side advocacy at Clearpool and previous to that she a was a sales trader at both ITG and BTIG. Kepner has had execution trading and consulting roles with both Themis Trading and Instinet.
