Citadel Nabs Chang; State Street Promotes Giannaros at CRD

Citadel hired Isaac Chang as Head of Trading, Global Fixed Income. Chang had been Head of Trading at AQR Capital Management since 2016, according to his LinkedIn profile. Prior to AQR, Chang was Global Head of FICC at KCG Holdings for almost five years, and he was at Goldman Sachs for 12 years, most recently as Managing Director in U.S. Interest Rates Products Electronic Trading. 

State Street named Spiros Giannaros chief executive officer of Charles River Development, the buy-side technology platform provider it purchased in 2018. Giannaros, who was appointed president of CRD in December 2019, is now responsible for all aspects of CRD’s global business and will report to John Plansky, global head of State Street AlphaSM. Prior to joining State Street, he was a Partner at IHS Markit.

The Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC), the premier post-trade infrastructure for the global financial services industry, appointed Lisa Hershey as Managing Director and Chief Compliance Officer with responsibility for leading the firm’s compliance function effective January 1, 2021. She will report to Ann Shuman, DTCC’s Managing Director and General Counsel. Hershey joined DTCC in 2009, and over the last decade, has developed a broad understanding of nearly every aspect of DTCC’s business and its approach to effective risk management and compliance.

HSBC hired Justin Arbuckle as London-based global chief technology officer for wealth and personal banking, eFinancialCareers reported, citing Arbuckle’s LinkedIn profile. Arbuckle joined from ScotiaBank in Toronto, where he headed an open-source software group that worked on cloud platforms, devops, APIs and analytics. 

Schroders named Andy Chorlton as Head of Fixed Income, replacing Philippe Lespinard who is stepping down after a decade in the role. The succession will take effect from October 1 and will be completed by March, Schroders said. Chorlton will report to Charles Prideaux, Global Head of Investment, and will join Schroders Group Management Committee. Most recently, Chorlton was Schroders’ Head of US Multi-Sector & Fixed Income Solutions, and he has 20 years’ experience in fixed income investing. 

Euroclear Sweden appointed Roger Storm as Chief Executive Officer. Storm was most recently Deputy Head of CCP Clearing at SIX x-Clear AG in Zurich, Switzerland. He has also previously co-Chaired EACH, the European Association of CCP Clearing Houses, and he has held a number of senior management and board positions in banking and financial market infrastructures, including SEB, SWIFT and the Swedish clearing house, Bankgirot.
