Citi appointed Chris Perkins and Sabrina Wilson as the Global Co-Heads of Futures, OTC Clearing and FX Prime Brokerage (FCX). The two are tasked with growing the FCX franchise, articulating a new risk framework, increasing electronic distribution, optimizing our capital footprint and partnering with other Markets and Securities Services businesses. Wilson joined Citi in 2017 as the European Head of FCX and Global Head of FCX Electronic Execution. She has over 20 years of experience in the clearing industry, having held a variety of leadership roles in New York, London and Singapore across sales and product development at JPMorgan, Goldman Sachs and Deutsche Bank. Perkins joined Citi in 2008 and founded Citi’s global OTC clearing business. In 2018, Chris took charge of global FX Prime Brokerage and led its remediation and integration into FCX. Prior to Citi, Chris ran the derivatives intermediation business at Lehman Brothers and served as a captain in the U.S. Marine Corps.
Also at Citi, the banking giant appointed cross-product technology specialist Allegra Kawalerski to head up its New York eTrading desk and become a principal stakeholder manager, The TRADE reported, citing an internal memo. Kawalerski will assume the role after 10 years with Citi, most recently as velocity content and analytics development lead in the cross-product technology department. Kawalerski’s appointment comes alongside a series of reorganised leadership roles in the eTrading department announced by the director of eTrading technology at Citi, Iain Maclean.
Integral, an FX technology provider, announced that Kevin Wilson joined the firm as Managing Director – Business Development. Wilson has spent much of his career at Citi and brings extensive experience in the foreign exchange market, most notably within senior relationship management roles serving the hedge fund community. In his new role, Kevin will be responsible for managing new business initiatives and senior client relationships. Wilson’s most recent roles at Citi included positions within the Futures, Clearing and FXPB division and as a founding member of the group’s Margin FX Trading business.
FIA’s Board of Directors elected Nicholas Rustad of J.P. Morgan Securities as Chair and Alicia Crighton of Goldman Sachs as Vice Chair of the FIA Board of Directors. Rustad had been serving as the Board’s Vice Chair and served as interim Chair following the retirement of Citi’s Jerome Kemp earlier this year. Crighton has served on the Board of Directors since 2018 and has been active in the Board’s diversity initiative. In addition, the board of directors elected Christopher Perkins of Citi and Gary Saunders of Barclays to FIA’s governing board.
Merus Global Investments, a multi-strategy investment partnership, added trading veterans Brook Bennett and Faraz Noorani as partners. Noorani will head Merus Global’s new Miami office, while Bennett will be based out of the firm’s New York headquarters. Bennett and Noorani join Merus from Aecor Capital Management, an investment management firm they co-founded in 2017. The two bring a combined 35+ years of trading experience to Merus.
