Virtu Financial has appointed Colin Pettorsson as Chief Executive Officer of RFQ-hub, Virtu’s bilateral multi-asset and multi-dealer request for quote platform. Pettorsson brings over 25 years of experience in multi-asset workflow management for the global buy-side and liquidity provider communities. He joins RFQ-hub from Tradeweb, where he served as Director Product Management – Equities Venues. Prior to that he was with Bloomberg for over 11 years.
Gary Clifford-Newman has been appointed Senior Vice President – Prime Services Sales at StoneX Group. He is an experienced financial services professional (FCA certified CF8 – Client Dealing) with a proven track record in Sales & Relationship Management for Agency Execution and Prime Brokerage covering Equities & Fixed Income. Clifford-Newman joins StoneX Group from Sova Capital where he mostly recently served as Director of Prime Services Sales.
Matrix Executions has promoted Bryan Radigan to the company’s new Head of Electronic Sales. Since joining the Matrix Executions team in 2018, Radigan has served as an important ambassador for the company during his tenure as a core member of the Matrix Sales team. In addition, Brian Brophy and Robert Frain have joined as Senior Sales Executives. Brophy started his options trading career in 1991 with Société Générale, later trading options at firms that included BNP Paribas, Deutsche Bank, Bank of America, and Credit Suisse. Frain joins Matrix as with deep knowledge of both the U.S. and Canadian electronic options and equity markets with a focus on institutional sales. He started his career in 1996 with Morgan Stanley, later as Director of Sales Trading for KCG, and Institutional Sales for Bank of America, GTS, and CAPIS. In addition, the firm established a new Matrix SPX Sales Team, welcoming seasoned traders Ron Myers, Dan Walsh, and Matt Schueneman as the formative members of this group.
Loomis, Sayles & Co has promoted Dan Maturi to Co-Head of Trading within Growth Equity Strategies. He joined Loomis in 2020 as a Senior Trader. Prior to that he was a Trader at PanAgora Asset Management for almost three years. Before that he was with State Street Global Markets for over nine years.
ORIX Corporation USA has announced two recent senior Investor Solutions hires within its Asset Management business. Damon G. Krytzer has joined as Managing Director, Co-Head of Investor Solutions, based in Park City, Utah. Krytzer joins ORIX USA from Probitas Partners, where he was Managing Director and Head of Credit. In addition, David DeMilt has joined as Managing Director, Investor Solutions, based in New York. DeMilt joins from Oaktree Capital Management, where he was a Managing Director for Marketing and Client Relations.
Octaura, an electronic trading platform for syndicated loans, has appointed Luis Carballo as the company’s first Chief Technology Officer. Carballo brings a wealth of knowledge from the various senior level positions he has held overseeing trading platform software engineering and application development. Most recently, he was CTO at Cencor where he facilitated information technology strategy for the companies within the financial group.
