Michael Bui has started a new position as the Executive Director of IAM in the Chief Risk Office at The Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC). He is an internationally experienced technology risk executive recognized for leading transformational maturity within Information Risk Management Programs, Enterprise Security Operations and Access Management Service Delivery for some of the world’s top financial services firms. Bui joins DTCC from McKinsey & Company, where he was Global Head of IAM, Cyber, Tech & Digital for the past three years. Prior to that he served as Managing Director | GM of Cybersecurity | Global Head of IAM at Macquarie Group and Commonwealth Bank of Australia in Sydney.
Sheri Hawkins has been named Head of Investment Platform Services at Northern Trust Asset Management (NTAM). She will lead a new group, Investment Platform Services. The team will include equity trading, client portfolio management, index services, stewardship, and an expanded mandate for the Office of the CIO to cover performance monitoring and alpha enhancements across investment teams. Hawkins was previously Global Head of Product for over six years, and prior to that CFO for another six years. In addition NTAM has named Michael Hunstad as Deputy Chief Investment Officer (CIO) and CIO of Global Equities. Hunstad is a proven, trusted advisor to many of our most sophisticated clients and a recognized leader in optimizing portfolios and managing risk with systematic approaches.
Alto has appointed Scott Harrigan as CEO of Alto Securities and Oliver Plattner as Chief Product and Technology Officer. Before joining Alto, Harrigan was the CEO of Securitize Markets where he launched a leading platform in the digital asset security industry. Harrigan also held executive roles at Merrill Lynch and Computershare. With more than 20 years of experience, Plattner’s most recent position was Chief Product Officer at ALT, a platform specializing in alternative asset transactions.
Circle Internet Financial has appointed Craig Broderick to its board of directors. Broderick is a former Goldman Sachs executive, who spent over 38 years at the company and retired in 2018. He has an extensive background in handling various risks, such as credit, market, liquidity, operational, model, counterparty, and insurance risks.
Clear Street has hired a team of experienced investment bankers to build an investment banking and advisory offering. The team will include the following industry experts: John D’Agostini – Co-Head of Investment Banking who joins Clear Street after more than 12 years as a Managing Director, Investment Banking at JonesTrading; Nicholas Hemmerly – Co-Head of Investment Banking, who joins from Bridgeway Capital Partners where he served as Senior Managing Director, Head of Investment Banking; Ryan J. Gerety – Managing Director, Investment Banking, who comes to Clear Street from JonesTrading, where he most recently served as Managing Director, Equity Capital Markets; and Wes Heffernan – Executive Director, Investment Banking, who joins the team from EF Hutton, where he was a Senior Vice President, Investment Banking.
JPMorgan Chase has named Teresa Heitsenrether as Chief Data and Analytics Officer, Bloomberg reported. Heitsenrether, who has been with the bank for 11 years, is replaced in her current role as global head of securities services by Tim Fitzgerald.
