Get your autograph book and selfie-stick ready as agency-only brokerage BTIG is a getting ready to conduct its 13th annual Commissions for Charity Day. Today the broker announced a preliminary list of celebrities who will be this year’s acting sales traders.
In what has become a fixture in the Wall Street philanthropy circles, BTIG’s Commissions for Charity Day is an event where celebrity participants join BTIG sales traders as brokers in an effort to raise money for a variety of charities. Clients who call into the broker to execute or place an order they often speak to a celebrity, such as an athlete, model or other famous person who provides them trading color and coverage.
Last year’s event raised over $5 million dollars.
This year’s event will be held on Tuesday, April 28 at the firm’s New York, San Francisco, London, Hong Kong and Sydney offices.
This year the firm has tentatively booked Al Leiter, Allan Houston, Anna Lynne McCord, Beth Ostrosky Stern, Bobby Valentine, CC Sabathia, Damaris Lewis, David Diehl, Eduardo Garcia, Eli Manning, Eric LeGrand, Hannah Davis, Hannah Storm, Jeremy Roenick, Joe Girardi, Joe Morgan, Joe Namath, Mariano Rivera, Mark Cuban, Mark Messier, Mark Teixeira, Nia Sanchez, Padma Lakshmi, Petra Nemcova, Phil Simms, Reggie Jackson, Ronnie Lott, Shaquille O’Neal, Steve Lavin, Tom Coughlin, Tony Gonzalez, Victor Cruz and Woody Johnson.

Previous participants have included Michael J.
