Deutsche Bank has hired Thomas Patrick as its new head of equity trading Americas, a new position, according to a memo sent to employees today.
He will join the firm in February.
Patrick, a 20-year veteran, was formerly co-head of global banking and markets strategy for BofA Merrill. He will be based in New York and report to Jeff Mayer, head of corporate and investment banking for North America at Deutsche Bank, and Garth Ritchie, global head of equities.
"Tom will be responsible for the coordination of all trading and risk activities across the Americas equities platform, overseeing the development of this key part of the franchise," Mayer and Ritchie said in the memo.
Renee Calabro, spokesperson for Deutsche bank in New York, confirmed the contents of the memo to Traders Magazine but declined further comment.
