Rosenblatt Securities hires Brian Reynolds as chief market strategist. Reynolds, a 26 year market veteran, comes from WJB Capital Group, where he served as chief market strategist, Prior to that, he spent 16 years as senior vice president, economist and portfolio manager at David L. Babson & Co. Reynolds also worked at TheStreet.com as a fixed-income and economics columnist.
Market data vendor One Data hires Cory MacLaren as global operations director. MacLaren, a 17 year veteran, is responsible for managing the operational and technical processes associated with index and ETF data for the firm. He has held various positions at Goldman Sachs, Citigroup, Morgan Stanley, JPMorgan and Credit Suisse and most recently was chief operating officer at BetaShares, an Australian provider of ETFs. He reports to Bernie Thurston.
Matthew Cyzer has joined BTIG as head of its equities sales and trading group in Europe, spearheading the firm’s expansion of its European business. A 20 year veteran, Cyzer had been head of European equity sales trading at Goldman Sachs in London. Cyzer officially retired from Goldman at the end of last year after 10 years at the firm. Before joining Goldman, Cyzer was head of European equity sales trading at Deutsche Bank. He started his career at NatWest Markets. He will be based in BTIG’s London office.
Options IT has appointed 12 year industry veteran Callum Runcie as the firm’s buyside sales director for North America. Prior to joining the firm, Runcie was sales director for the alternatives business at HSBC Securities Services, where he was responsible for sales and client relationships with hedge fund clients. Before joining HSBC, he held senior-level sales roles at both Sophis and SunGard. Runcie began his career as a trader at Starmark Trading.
