Fresh on the heels of landing Joe Mecane as its new Head of Execution and re-hiring James Yeh to lead its global quantitative strategies business, the firm has landed Tom Zychinski, the former head of fixed income trade execution at Bridgewater Associates. Zychinski onboards as head of portfolio analytics and monitoring within its equity quantitative research group in New York.
Kevin Byrne has named senior vice president of Macquarie Portfolio Solutions, the transition management business of Macquarie Group.Byrne’s appointment comes after the departure of Lance Vegna, who had been director and co-head of portfolio solutions with Fogg. Previously, Byrne was senior vice president at Loop Capital Markets.He will report to Fred Fogg, director and head of Macquarie Portfolio Solutions.
Mizuho Americas announced the addition of Traci Creange to its fixed income team as Managing Director and Head of US Floating Rate Note (FRN) Credit Trading. In her new role, Creange will be responsible for trading all maturities and sectors across the floating rate note complex for Mizuhos growing US client base. A 15 year veteran, she most recently served as head FRN trader for Deutsche Bank. Prior to this, she was with Mizuho as an Executive Director in investment grade credit trading from 2011-2014. Creange comes to Mizuho with nearly fifteen years of senior credit trading experience at firms including Deutsche Bank, Goldman Sachs, Jefferies and Bear Stearns.

State Street Corporation announced the appointment of David Pagliaro as head of State Street Global Exchange for Europe EMEA. Based in London, Pagliaro will report to John Plansky, global head of State Street Global ExchangeSM and Liz Nolan, co-head of Global Services for EMEA.
Goldman Sachs is relocating one of its top US equities traders to head up its European execution business, according to a report. Elizabeth Martin has been appointed Head of EMEA Equities Execution and Global Chief Operating Officer for Electronic Equities Execution Services. She will focus on developing global electronic execution products and client services across the trade lifecycle. Her promotion to the senior role follows the decision by Todd Hohman to retire after 24 years with the firm. Martin was previously co-head of Americans electronic trading products and head of systematic market making for US listed options. She joined Goldman Sachs in 2000 as a derivatives trader and has since worked her way up to become chief of staff for equities and global head of equities management. Martin will report to Raj Mahajan, global co-head of execution services, Philip Berlinski, co-head of global equities trading and execution services, and Konstantin Shakhnovich, global head of FICC electronic trading.
b-next, a specialist provider of capital markets compliance solutions, has appointed Thomas Dinneny as head of business development for the Americas. Based in New York, Dinneny will be responsible for growing b-nexts customer base in the region and strengtheningb-nexts existing partnerships with Thomson Reuters and Verint. He joins b-next from Thomson Reuters where he was Head of Compliance, Surveillance and Derivatives solutions. Prior to this, he was Global Head of Trade Surveillance and Employee Compliance Technology for JPMorgan Chase.
Eze Software has named David Quinlan, an 18-year veteran of Eze Software, as Executive Managing Director, EMEA. Quinlan will be leading EMEA business development, sales and client services in the region. Quinlan joined Eze in 1999, and has held a number of critical executive roles across the organization, serving most recently as head of strategy.
The Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC) reported the appointment of Matthew Stauffer as Managing Director and head of Institutional Trade Processing, effective June 30. In this role, Stauffer will be responsible for integrating DTCCs middle office trade processing solutions, including the Omgeo suite of solutions, Trade Support Services (TSS) and the GMEI Utility, as well as leading new product development. He previously served as CEO of Clarient Global, LLC, and was a management consultant in Accentures Financial Services practice. He will report to Timothy Keady, Managing Director and Head of DTCC Solutions.
Trevor Spanner and Richard Leung were appointed as Group CIO and Deputy CIO, respectively at Hong Kong Shanghai Exchange. The two will consolidate oversight of IT management and platform development across HKEX group. Also, Roger Lee and Calvin Tai were named as joint COOs at the bourse adding to their ongoing roles as Head of Markets and Head of Clearing, respectively.
KeyBanc Capital Markets has added six new pros to its equity sales and trading team in New York; Managing Directors Joseph Cary and Brendan Grady, and Directors Vincent Dello-Iacono, Robert Gabriele, Peter Hall and John Stuart.
Cary, Grady and Dello-Iacono hail from Susquehanna International Group, Barclays and Jefferies, respectively. These three bring nearly 60 years of sales trading experience to KeyBanc. Hall, a 20 year professional, joins from Jefferies where he was as a position trader. Stuart will work with Gabriele and focus on institutional equity sales for clients in the New York, New Jersey and Connecticut Tristate area. Stuart and Gabriele join from CLSA Americas and have a combined 30 years of experience.
The DTCC has also made other personnel changes. Paula Arthus, who most recently served as Head of Omgeo and Data Services, will take on a new assignment as Chief of Staff and Head of Corporate Strategy in the Office of the DTCC CEO.
The firm will also align its Global Trade Repository (GTR), Trade Information Warehouse (TIW) and DTCC-Euroclear GlobalCollateral Ltd. businesses under a single portfolio led by Christopher Childs, Managing Director and head of Derivatives and Collateral as well as CEO of Deriv/SERV.
