Direct Access Partners brought on four sales and trading pros from the institutional brokerage arm of Kellogg Partners. Kevin Butler, a 18-year veteran, joins as a managing director and senior trader. He is joined by three institutional sales people who report to him. Anne Schnuriger, an 18- year veteran, and Thomas Maiden, 16-year veteran, both join as vice presidents. William Sullivan, a 16-year veteran, joins as a senior vice president in sales. Butler, who led the desk at Fleet Trading and was a managing director at Spear, Leeds & Kellogg, reports to DAP chief executive and founder Ben Chinea.
Marco Pellini joins wholesaler Surge Trading as managing director to oversee trading operations. Pellini, an 18-year veteran, was most recently a vice president in business development at optionsXpress. The bulk of his career was spent at E*Trade Capital Markets, where he was a vice president in trading and as a director of trading and market structure, before rising to the position of president and chief operating officer in 2002.
Lou Matrone joins Oracle Financial Services as a business development executive. Matrone, a 13-year veteran, spent the last two years as a sales trader at JonesTrading. He began his career as head of over-the-counter trader at Southwest Securities for six years, before moving on to positions at Pulse Trading, Empire Financial and Investment Advisor, where he was director of trading.
Janice Morgan Hilsman joins INTL Trading in its trading desk supervision group. Hilsman, a 22-year veteran, has spent time on the buyside at AEGON-Great Companies, Teachers Insurance and Annuity Association and Merrill Lynch Investment Management. She has also worked as a sales trader at the Malachi Group specializing in international equities. Hilsman served as treasurer of the Securities Traders Association of Florida between 2005 and 2010, and the Georgia Securities Association from 2002 to 2004.
