Traders On The Move

Henry Yegerman joins agency broker UNX as head of product management. Yegerman, with more than 25 years of industry experience, was previously with ITG, where he was managing director of analytical products and creator of its transaction-cost analysis products. At UNX, he will oversee global product management of Catalyst, the firm’s open-architecture electronic trading platform. His charge is to grow Catalyst’s trading capabilities across asset classes and global financial markets. That includes the delivery of customized trading products to the buyside and sellside.

 


 

Innovation Advisors hires Steve Hovagimyan as a director in financial technology M&A. Hovagimyan, a 20-year veteran and Portware alum, will focus on growing the company’s multi-asset trading technology. He has been involved in M&A transactions including EdgeTrade, Scivantage, Instinet’s purchase of LIR and investing in Arca. He reports to Innovation founder Eric Gebaide.

 


 

Getco hires Chris Amorello as head of institutional sales. A 10-year veteran, Amorello was previously a managing director and head of sales in ITG’s Boston office. He is charged with leading Getco’s sales effort among financial institutions.

 


 

Brennan Carley joins Thomson Reuters as its global head of trading connectivity in New York. Carley, with more than 20 years in financial services technology, previously spent two years at Spread Networks as a senior vice president of product marketing. Earlier, he was chief product and strategy officer for Radianz, an extranet provider he co-founded in 2000. The firm was sold to British Telecom in 2005.

 


 

JonesTrading added two new hires-one in derivatives and another to run technology. CFA Jeff Micsky joins JonesTrading as a vice president in equity derivative sales. Micsky, a seven-year veteran, was previously with Credit Suisse, where he spent two years. At Jones, he will work with clients to develop and execute options strategies. Prior to CS, he spent four years at Pequot Capital, where he traded cross asset and developed global strategies and hedges for portfolio managers. He reports to Tom Steen, who heads global derivatives.
Jack Garceau joins JonesTrading as chief technology officer. A 23-year financial technology veteran, Garceau joins from Fidessa, where he spent 13 years. He was most recently head of business development there. He reports to Packy Jones, the firm’s chairman and chief executive.
