ITG just dealt a major blow to JPMorgan’s electronic equities trading desk by luring one of its top and longest running executives to head up its operations.
The independent execution broker and research provider today announced that Frank Troise has been appointed as ITG’s Chief Executive Officer and President. Troise will also become a member of the ITG Board of Directors.

Troise is no stranger to the electronic trading world. He brings extensive experience in electronic trading to ITG. From 2010 until October 2015, Troise was a managing director at J.P. Morgan, most recently serving as head of J.P. Morgan Execution Services, its global multi-asset electronic execution group within the investment bank. Prior to J.P. Morgan, he was global head of electronic trading at Barclays Capital and head of U.S. electronic execution at Lehman Brothers.

Before joining Lehman Brothers, Troise spent eight years at ITG, where his duties included serving as managing director in charge of client site sales and trading. Prior to ITG, Troise worked in management consulting roles at Booz Allen and Accenture. He has also served as a director on a number of boards, including BIDS Holdings, Chi-X Global Holdings and Neovest.
ITGalso hired Bret Goldin as Director, ITG Americas Sales. Goldin is charged with promoting ITG’s global and trading solutions across the EMEA region with a specific focus on providing client solutions for Canadian trading and inter-listed CAD / US trade flow.
Goldin brings almost two decades of experience in delivering trading solutions to financial firms on both sides of the Canadian/US border. Prior to joining ITG, Goldin ran Morgan Stanley’s Electronic Trading (MSET) business in Canada. Goldin was responsible for growing MSET’s platform with Canadian based financial institutions as well as promoting the Canadian shares business globally. Goldin began his career in New York as a NASDAQ Market Maker with Herzog, Heine, Geduld/Merrill Lynch in 1997 and subsequently worked at Reuters and then Bank of America Securities, where he was Head of Sell-Side Sales and Product.
Lastly, the firm landed Nick Johnston as European Head of Sales Trading. Johnston will lead ITG’s European high-touch business. Based in London, Johnston will report to Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of ITG Europe, Rob Boardman. He joins ITG from Barclays Capital where he held the position of Head of European Sales Trading and has previously served in similar roles at both JP Morgan and Lehman Brothers.
Red Bank, N.J. -based Global Liquidity Partners announced the hiring of Rich Guerin for its institutional sales and business development group. Guerin has been in the Financial Services industry for more than 25 years and brings with him a wide array of experience to his new role at GLP. Prior to joining GLP, Guerin held several senior Managing director roles with Credit Suisse First Boston, FBR Capital , BT Alex Brown , Susquehanna international Group and as Partner at Thomas Weisel.

ANALEC, a fintech company catering to both the buy- and sell-side hired Richard Marcus to head up its sales efforts in North America. Prior to joining ANALEC, Marcus held a series of business development positions of increasing responsibility over his career. He has worked in a variety of areas, all sales related: SaaS content Management at Integritie; regional sales management at Advantage Enterprises (with a focus on financial services); enterprise sales at Document Conversion Associates; and imaging solutions at e-copy.
