KeyBanc Capital Markets, which recently completed its purchase of Pacific Crest Securities, hired two sales traders. The firm added Brian Rail and Mike Dorsey as directors, focusing on the technology, media and telecommunications sectors. Rail, a 21-year trading veteran, came from Morgan Stanley, where he was part of the technology trading group. Prior to that, he held a similar role as a trader at Citigroup.
Dorsey, with more than 17 years of experience, was at Janney Montgomery Scott, where he focused on technology trading. Prior to that, he held technology trading positions at Jefferies and Citigroup.
Both report to Wayne Wallace, head of position trading.
In addition, Tom Holmes has been named KeyBanc’s national sales manager and also came from Pacific Crest Securities. Holmes previously served as head of equity sales for Pacific Crest Securities. He reports to Kevin Kruszenski, head of KeyBanc Capital Markets Institutional Equities.

Convergex named Kelli Annequin as its chief marketing officer. Annequin, a veteran of the financial markets has 20 years of experience in the global financial services industry. In her role as CMO, Annequin will have responsibility for global marketing and communications initiatives across all Convergex businesses, including equity execution solutions, options trading and technologies, commission management and prime services. She will also be a member of the company’s Executive Committee, contributing to overall business strategy.
Prior to joining Convergex, Annequin was head of marketing at Jane Street, where she led the firm’s client-facing global marketing. Earlier, she served as managing director and head of global marketing at Knight Capital Group and also held senior marketing, communications and business development positions at Weeden & Co., Citigroup, Portware and Susquehanna International Group.
WallachBeth Capital appointed Ilya Feygin as its new senior strategist and managing director. Feygin will be a key member of WallachBeth’s Strategist Consulting (SCOUT) group, which leverages quantitative techniques to help institutions with portfolio construction, alpha generation, trading optimization and advanced business analytics. Feygin previously served as a strategist and macro trader at Omega Advisors, where he identified cross-asset macro risks and opportunities, assessing their impact on traditional portfolios and making recommendations to the firm’s investment policy committee. Prior to that, he served as managing director and member of the investment committee at Attalus Capital, where he oversaw multiple traditional, hedge fund and overlay strategies.
