Robert Hegarty was hired by Wall Street Horizon as an advisory board member. Hegarty, a 30 year market professional, spent the last four years at Thomson Reuters, most recently as its head of equities where he oversaw all Eikon desktops in the equities arena. He also developed, drove and executed on strategy, financials, business development, and general management of the global Equities business. Prior to that, Hegarty was a managing director and head of strategy and marketing at DTCC. Before that, he spent nearly 10 years at Tower Group. Earlier in his career, he was with the buyside working at Putnam Investments and Fidelity.

SimCorp, a vendor of investment management solutions hired Marc Mallett as its new vice president of product & managed services in the North America division. Mallett, a pro with over 20 years of financial services industry experience, will lead the firm’s North American product team to develop new products and grow its North American business. He has held leadership positions at firms such as Northern Trust, where he was the head of product & strategy for their global fund services business and specialist consultancy Citisoft, where he was chief operating officer. He also served as a vice president of technology at Fidelity Investments.
Leor Shapiro has joined Jefferies as a managing director and global head of business consulting for the firm’s global Prime Services unit. In this new role, Shapiro will work closely with Jefferies’ sales and capital introduction teams to advise and assist startup and existing managers with fund launches and expansion. Prior to Jefferies, Shapiro was U.S. head of business consulting services at UBS. He reports to John Laub, global co-head of Prime Brokerage.
CLS Group, a provider of FX market trading solutions, has appointed Trevor Suarez as its chief financial officer. Based in London, Suarex, will join the executive management committee and be a key contributor to the audit and finance committee of the Board. He joined CLS in February 2014 as head of financial planning and analysis and, since September, has held the role of co-CFO. Prior to CLS, Suarez was finance director for the UK wealth division of Lloyds Bank and head of group planning & performance at Halifax Bank of Scotland. He reports to reports to David Puth, chief executive officer of CLS.
