BMO Global Asset Management has announced the appointment of Christopher Kunkle as managing director, Securities Lending, BMO Global Asset Management, U.S.
In his role, Kunkle will have overall responsibility for managing, developing and executing the firm’s securities lending strategy. He will also oversee third party agency sales and distribution, relationship management, product development and operations, as well as legal and regulatory issues.
Previously, Kunkle was managing director of Client Transaction Services/Securities Finance at Wells Fargo. He has held senior roles in securities finance for more than 20 years at various organizations.
He is a member of the Risk Management Association’s Securities Lending Executive Committee and has been a board member of the US Board of Equilend LLC. He received a BA in Business Administration and Finance from Wittenberg University in Springfield, Ohio. He holds FINRA Series 7 and Series 63 licenses.
BMO Global Asset Management has more than US$244 billion in assets under management, as of July 31, 2015.
