In this second instalment based on Celent’s survey of more than 40 active and quantitative investment management firms, we focus on the medium-term to long-term strategic priorities and innovation enablers that will help active managers optimize their operational models and sharpen alpha generation capabilities.
This study expands our analysis into how current business, regulatory, risk and technology environments are accelerating trends, widening gaps, and stretching the aspirations of investment risk technology and operations, as seen through the lens of investment, portfolio and risk management professionals. This report also highlights strategic, operational, and data barriers that need to be overcome and where/how firms should navigate future opportunities in the context of next-generation digitization imperatives. Insights are based on the most recent Celent survey, which included more than 40 firms, primarily active and quantitative tier 1 investment firms from North America, Europe, and developed Asia with more than $50 billion of assets under management (AuM).
