There’s been plenty of changes for IEX ever since they were lionized in the pages of Michael Lewis’ blockbuster “Flash Boys.”
Along with registering to become a true exchange, the buyside-sponsored trading venue has moved to new offices with tons of light, white surfaces and conference rooms with frosted windows. At 4 World Trade Center, the upstart buyside trading firm has spectacular views of New York Harbor and the newly opened Freedom Tower thanks to their offices on the 44th floor. And IEX traders, IT staffers, and other personnel seem to enjoy their motorized desks that allow them to either sit or stand at their two-monitor desks during the work day.
Traders is proud to present a tour of of IEX’s new digs in our inaugural On The Floor photo feature. We will have other galleries of the IEX floor and their personnel in the weeks to come. And we plan to take you onto the trading floors of other powerhouse buyside and sellside firms in the months to come.
