STANY to Honor Tom Joyce and Richard Ketchum

The Security Traders Association will honor the former CEO of Knight Capital and the current CEO of FINRA this Thursday, April 7.

The Security Traders Association of New York will honor Tom Joyce with the Lifetime Achievement and Dedication award and FINRAs Richard Ketchum with the Outstanding Achievement to the Industry award. The awards will be presented at the close of the 80th annual STYANY Conference which takes place on Thursday, April 7 at Three-Sixty on 10 DesBrosses Street.

The STANY 2016 keynote speeches will be delivered by Gary Chropuvka, head of customized beta strategies of Goldman SachsAsset Management and Corrie Elston,CTO of financial services, Google Cloud Platform for Google.

According to STANY, TheLifetime Achievement and Dedication to STANY Awardrecognizes a STANY member and leader in the securities industry whose professional contributions and dedication to STANY have had positive impacts on the Association and the industry. We are pleased to announce that this year’s award will be presented to Tom Joyce.

Joyce is the Chairman of Arxis Capital Advisors. He serves as a director of ReFlow Services and Archipelago. Prior to this, Joyce was the executive chairman of Knight Capital Group from December 2004 to July 2013 and as its Chief Executive Officer from May 2002 to July 2013 and Executive Director from October 2002 to July 5, 2013. Joyce was the CEO and Chairman at Knight Equity Markets, since 2002 and the CEO and Chairman of Knight Capital Americas since 2002.

Richard Ketchum is Chairman and CEO of FINRA and is slated to receive the Outstanding Contribution to the IndustryAward. This award, according to STANY, recognizes a person or organization whose contributions to the securities industry have made a significant and positive impact on the lives of others, on the business and on the community. We are pleased to announce that this year’s award will be presented to Rick Ketchum.
