Ruttenbur has over twenty years of experience in covering the group at firms including BB&T, CRT, Morgan Keegan and SunTrust Equitable Securities. Also,Walter Langjoined as a senior institutional equity salesperson covering the Midwest with over 25 years of experience at JC Bradford and Avondale Partners.
David Andersonalso joined as a senior salesperson covering NY and Southeast accounts. Anderson came from Avondale Partners where he had spent thirteen years. Relatedly,Rich Hendersonjoined the firm as a sales trader covering accounts in the Midwest and NY and also came from Avondale Partners which he co-founded and where he ran the equity division as well as served as the firms original Chairman. Andersons prior experience also includes doing stints at firms such as Suntrust Equitable, Kidder Peabody and Hambrecht & Quist.

Goldman Sachs landedJohn Cosenzaas Managing Director, Head of Institutional Distribution of GSET in the Americas for Equities. Cosenza, a veteran trader, came from Cowen & Co. where he ran electronic trading and was on the equities management team. He was also instrumental in the Cowen 360 product and commission management work.
KeyBanc Capital Markets announced the appointment ofDonald Persinskias managing director to its Public Finance Group this week. Persinski, a professional with more than 30 years experience, will focus on continuing to grow the Healthcare Public Finance. Prior to joining KeyBanc, he served as a managing director in Ponder & Co.s Capital Advisory Group. Before that, he spent nearly three decades working for PNC Capital Markets LLC, including as managing director of the Healthcare and Non-Profit Group. His responsibilities included debt management, capital planning and transaction execution for healthcare, higher education and other 501(c)(3) organizations.
Phupinder Gill, chief executive of CME Group since 2012, announced he will retire at year’s end, the futures market operator said in a statement. Executive Chairman Terrence Duffy has taken on the additional role of CEO, and Bryan Durkin, chief commercial officer currently, was made president of the company. The two will work with Gill over the next two months on the transition.
Intercontinental Exchange announced thatJonathan Reevehas been appointed Global Head of ICE Data Services Connectivity and Consolidated Feed businesses and will be responsible for strategic oversight and day-to-day management of ICEs Secure Financial Transaction Infrastructure (SFTI), colocation and Consolidated Feed businesses. Reeve joins ICE after spending over 11 years at S&P Global, where he held executive-level positions, most recently as Chief Data Officer. Prior to S&P Global, he was at Reuters, where he managed large-scale technical and operational transformation projects. He will report to Lynn Martin, President and Chief Operating Officer of ICE Data Services.
Scott Johnston, most recently COO at high-speed trading firm Tower Research Capital, is to take on the same role at Citadel Securities in April 2017, according to people familiar with the matter. He will report to Kevin Turner, the former top Microsoft executive who became Citadel Securities’ CEO in July this year. Johnston had been with Tower for more than seven years, and has previously held roles at CME Group, UBS and options trading firm O’Connor & Associates. He left Tower in late October, according to his LinkedIn page.
CBOE promotedLaura Zinannito the position of Vice President, Office of the CEO. In her new role, Zinanni will serve as a primary advisor to CEO Edward Tilly, providing advice and recommendations on complex issues as identified. Zinanni previously served as CBOEs Special Assistant to the CEO and Lead Counsel. Most recently, she has played an integral role in supervising various functions and activities related to CBOE Holdings agreement to acquire Bats Global Markets.
SETL, the London based financial blockchain specialist, has appointed national security expertMartin ClementsCMG OBE to its board. Clements recently retired from his role as Director General responsible for Technology and Transformation at the UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office. This followed a career focused on national security issues and capabilities, serving in the Middle East, South Asia and Europe. For the last decade, Martin was Senior Information Risk Owner, in charge of managing technical risk and other vulnerabilities to strategic information systems.
Fitch Group announced the appointment ofRanjit Tinaikaras President of Fitch Information Services, effective December 1, 2016. Tinaikar will oversee all of Fitch Information Services businesses including: Fitch Solutions and BMI Research. He joins Fitch from Thomson Reuters, where since 2012 he was Managing Director and Global Head of Asset Management, Wealth Management, Investment Banking and Research. Prior to Thomson Reuters, Tinaikar spent 14 years at McKinsey & Company where he was a Partner. He began his career in 1991 with Citicorp information technology in Mumbai. Based in Fitchs New York office, he will join the Fitch Group management team and report to Fitch Group President and Chief Executive Officer Paul Taylor.
