Traders Magazine has promoted Peter Chapman to editor and John D’Antona Jr. to managing editor. Chapman, who has been at Traders Magazine 12 years, joined as technology editor in 1999. He was promoted to executive editor in 2005–the role he held until his current promotion. D’Antona, a 20-year veteran of financial journalism, joined Traders Magazine as a senior writer in January of last year. A former bond and structured finance reporter, D’Antona has worked at wire services such as BridgeNews and Dow Jones, as well as IFR Magazine.
"It’s been a pleasure working with Peter Chapman, who in my opinion, is one of the top reporters covering the market structure and regulation of equities," said Michael Scotti, Traders Magazine’s editorial director. "He’s been a driver in helping to keep this publication on top of all of the changes that have altered trading in recent years."
D’Antona has made the transition from the bond world seamlessly and has been managing the publication’s Web site, tradersmagazine.com, according to Scotti. "John’s background with the wire services has paid dividends online," he said.
Ken Heath, publisher of Traders Magazine offered his congratulations to the two veterans. "These promotions are well deserved and show this publication’s commitment to editorial excellence," Heath added.
