After a day of trading, members of the Security Traders Association and Women In Finance came together for a good cause. Late last month, the Security Traders Association (STA) and Women in Finance partnered to launch a national clothing drive for striving professionals.
STA Affiliates throughout the United States and Canada colected nearly new or gently used women’s professional clothing and accessories for women in need. The effort was helped by such retail partners as Rebecca Taylor, Brooks Brothers, Saks Fifth Avenue and corporate sponsors such as Bank of America Merrill Lynch.
STA and its Women in Finance (WIF) are excited to kick-off their diversity platform and launch its first national campaign with efforts geared toward charitable giving. We are grateful to have received resounding enthusiasm for this campaign from our Affiliates across the continent,” said Natalie Carpenter of Longbow Research and STA Board Governor.
She added, “We also extend gratitude to the retailers and corporate sponsors who are offering support for our efforts.
John Russell, of Franklin Templeton and STA Chairman added, There is nothing more inspiring than seeing our Affiliates unite for a common cause. With this campaign, we use our donations of professional clothing to provide hope and opportunity for disadvantaged women.
Traders presents the second in a series of pictures from the STA and Women in Finance events, with images from the STA chapters in San Francisco and Wisconsin. An earlier STA Women In Finance slideshow featured the clothing drive events from the New York, Los Angeles, Atlanta, St Louis and Denver chapters of the STA.
