The Security Traders Association honored Traders publisher Ken Heath at its 81st Annual Market Structure conference in Washington DC this week.
Heath has been publisher of Traders for nearly two decades and has been a fixture at numerous regional STA conferences for the past years. His photographs of speakers, traders, and industry executives have filled the pages of Traders magazine and its website and various STA press materials.
Lisa Utasi of ClearBridge Investments and a longtime friend of Kens, bestowed the STA Lifetime Achievement Award to Kens daughters, Donna and Cheryl, who attended the conference in his place.
“Many companies have developed special relationships with the STA and Traders is one of those companies. The STA has respect for the individual and we have great respect for the role that Ken has played in this relationship. Hes a large part of this organization. said STA Chairman Jim Toes.
Utasi had no trouble lauding her friend. “Ken is the most constant supporter of the STA and its affiliates over the years He has attended and photographed countless events and he has many friends in the industry,” she told Traders
During her speech, she also mentioned Kens drive to create and support Wall Street Women, Traders‘ annual award for female traders and financial executives.
In their remarks, Kens daughters said that they felt welcome at the STA event thanks to their fathers dedication and participation.
