And the winner is…
Traders Magazine, along with its owner MarketsMedia, is proud to announce the winners of its 2nd Annual Markets Choice Awards: Women in Finance. The luncheon event, which will kick off Markets Media Week on Tuesday, November 15, 2016, will recognize some of the most talented and accomplished women in multiple categories across buy-side and sell-side trading desks, institutional investors, hedge funds, exchanges and technology providers.
The luncheon event will be from 12PM to 2PM at TAO Downtown, 92 9th Ave, New York City.
Women are a vital group in the deep and diverse talent pool that drives capital markets, trading and technology across a multitude of sectors and asset classes, said Mohan Virdee, Chief Executive Officer of Markets Media. The nomination and selection process, though rigorous and very difficult at times has been one of the most rewarding things we have ever experienced at the firm. I want to thank the Markets Media Editorial team, our Women in Finance Advisory Board and some of the senior market executives whose opinions were so valuable during this whole process. We look forward to celebrating all the nominees and of course the winners at the luncheon.
The Women in Finance Advisory Committee and the Markets Media editorial team then come together to deliberate and select winners. As with the four-year-old Markets Choice Awards franchise, methodology in selecting nominees and then winners for Women in Finance is simple yet thorough, and keeps the focus on the important opinions: those of market participants.
