Gina King has been elected as President of Carolina STA. King is currently an Equity Trader with LPL Financial. She has 30 years of experience in equity trading and sales. She began her career in New York with Furman Selz as a clerk on the NYSE and then joined The Interstate in Charlotte, NC in 1996 as an Institutional Equity Sales Trader, spending 25 years there. Ms. King has been involved with the Carolina Security Traders Association since 1997.
SEI has appointed Sneha Shah as an Executive Vice President and Head of New Business Ventures, where she will report to CEO Ryan Hicke. Shah was previosly Group Head of the London Stock Exchange Group’s (LSEG) Business Accelerator. In her leadership role at LSEG, she created and scaled new business at the intersection of data, AI, and technology. Her 25+ year career has also spanned roles as Managing Director, Global Head of Risk Managed Services at Refinitiv and Managing Director in Africa for Thomson Reuters.
Clear Street has hired Kevin McCarthy as the firm’s first Chief Administrative Officer and Head of Clearing. McCarthy will report to Clear Street Co-Founder and CEO Chris Pento. Prior to joining Clear Street, McCarthy spent more than 30 years at Bank of America Merill Lynch launching and managing professional clearing and prime brokerage financing services for sophisticated professional traders, hedge funds, asset managers, and major financial institutions.
Trading Technologies International has appointed Tomo Tokuyama to lead a newly established foreign exchange business unit, TT FX. Tokuyama has an extensive FX trading track record on the buy-side and sell-side, most recently as Head of Trading at First Quadrant.
Societe Generale has appointed Vincent Mischler as Group Chief Strategy Officer, effective August 24, 2023. He will report to Slawomir Krupa, CEO, and will also be a member of the Group Management Committee. Mischler has over 25 years’ experience as an investment banker specializing in financial institutions, with an extensive international background. Since 2012, he has been Managing Director at Citigroup.
