Mandy Xu has joined Cboe Global Markets as Vice President and Head of Derivatives Market Intelligence. Prior to joining Cboe, Xu was Managing Director and Head of Equity Derivatives Strategy at Credit Suisse, specializing in index and ETF volatility research. Before Credit Suisse, she worked as a cross-border M&A analyst at E.J. McKay, a boutique investment bank in Shanghai.
Clear Street has hired Christopher Smith, founder of ED&F Man Capital Markets, to build its futures clearing business. Smith has over 30 years’ experience in the capital markets sector and is passionate about delivering highly customer-focused service for middle market clients. As founder of ED&F Man Capital Markets, he built a successful futures clearing merchant from scratch to be the financial services subsidiary for ED&F Man group.
CME Group has realigned its FX futures, options, cash and over-the-counter (OTC) FX businesses into a single unit led by Paul Houston, who has overseen CME Group’s futures business for seven years. Under the new structure, Houston will serve as Global Head of FX Products and will be responsible for the company’s FX derivatives markets as well as its EBS cash markets business.
Barclays has appointed Lee Counselman as a Managing Director within the Technology Investment Banking business. He joins Barclays from Moelis & Company, where he most recently served as a Managing Director, Global Head of Software and Services Advisory. Before joining Moelis, Mr. Counselman was Global Head of Software Investment Banking at Deutsche Bank and previously served as the firm’s Co-Head of Technology M&A.
TIFIN AMP, an artificial intelligence (AI) platform, has appointed Sal Gagliano as its Chief Executive Officer. The firm has also added Charlie Shaffer as the President and Chief Revenue Officer. Gagliano brings over 20 years of leadership experience from the financial services industry, including general management, strategy & business operations, and product development. Previously, he spent nearly 15 years at Broadridge in various roles. Most recently, he was the SVP & GM of the Marketing & Regulatory Communications business. Shaffer joins from Russell Investments where he most recently was Global Head of Distribution.
Hazeltree has appointed Vlad Berson as its Chief Marketing Officer. Berson joins from Broadridge where he most recently served as global head of marketing for capital markets. During his 10 years with the firm, he also held the positions of head of marketing for investment management solutions and head of account based marketing. Prior to Broadridge, he was vice president and group manager of technology, analytics and operational solutions marketing at Pershing, a BNY Mellon Company.
