ON THE MOVE: Jeroen Bos Joins AXA IM Equity; Tourmaline Makes Three Hires

AXA Investment Managers has hired Jeroen Bos as Global Head of AXA IM Equity, effective November 1, 2023. Bos will take over from Mark Hargraves, who will pursue a new professional endeavour outside of the AXA Group. Prior to joining AXA IM, Bos was Global Head of Sustainable Investing at Credit Suisse Asset Management, leading its sustainability efforts across the firm. Prior to this, he was Head of Equities and Responsible Investing at NN Investment Partners. In his career, he has also held a number of Global Equity Portfolio Manager and Equity Analyst roles.

Tourmaline Partners has strengthened its global trading capabilities by adding three seasoned professionals, former Partner at Mariana Capital, Simon Bradley, former Liquidnet Co-Head of Trading (EMEA) and Head of USI, James Kirk, and former BTIG institutional sales trader, James Williams. Each join Tourmaline as Managing Directors in the London office. Bradley brings nearly three decades of derivatives experience in financial markets and in value-added idea generation, price discovery, and trade execution to Tourmaline, where he will be responsible for building out Tourmaline’s equity derivatives franchise in Europe. Kirk brings nearly 20 years of experience in global equities trading to Tourmaline, having worked at both investment banks and agency brokerage firms throughout his career. At Tourmaline, Kirk will be responsible for enhancing Tourmaline’s services in support of asset managers globally. Williamsbrings more than 20 years of experience to Tourmaline, where he will be responsible for covering clients on global cash equities execution. 

Michael Tae

Broadridge Financial Solutions has added Michael Tae and Doug DeSchutter as Co-Presidents of its Investor Communication Solutions (ICS) business, effective October 1, 2023. In their new roles, Tae and DeSchutter will be responsible for all aspects of the company’s ICS business segment, including the bank broker-dealer, corporate issuer, mutual fund and retirement, and customer communications solutions businesses. As part of the long-planned leadership transition, current President Bob Schifellite will move into a new advisory role engaging with clients and advising Mike and Doug as Chairman of Broadridge’s ICS. Tae was named President of ICS’s Mutual Funds, Retirement, Issuer and Data & Analytics businesses in January 2023. Since joining Broadridge in 2017, he has led Broadridge’s efforts to enhance innovation through a combination of acquisitions and internal investments, first as Chief Strategy and Corporate Development Officer and then later as Chief Transformation Officer for ICS. DeSchutter took the helm of Broadridge’s Bank Broker-Dealer business in January 2023, adding leadership of Broadridge’s Proxy, Prospectus, and related businesses to his prior role as President of Broadridge Customer Communications. 

FairXchange has announced the strategic onboarding of Will Holt as Chief Research & Development Officer. Holt has almost 25 years experience in the asset management industry with roles at Goldman Sachs, JC Capital Management, The Tudor Group and ExodusPoint Capital.

Sterling Trading Tech (STT) has appointed Michael Baradas as OMS Product Manager. Prior to joining STT, Baradas held a variety of senior Product Manager roles at Bakkt, StoneX, Fiserv, and Bloomberg. Before product management, he started his early career as a proprietary trader at Societe Generale.

Adaptive Financial Consulting (Adaptive) has appointed Dave Clack in a newly created role of Chief Product Officer. Clack joined Adaptive in 2015 as a non-executive board advisor, supporting the firm through a period of rapid expansion. Most recently, he guided the firm as it opened its first office in Asia and supported the launch of a 24/7 managed service to run cloud-native trading platforms. Previous roles include leadership positions at Quantum, the data services company, and LMAX where he was Head of Technology Delivery. Most recently, Clack led CatDV, a media management business, steering its revenue growth until its acquisition.
