Moelis & Company, a global independent investment bank, has expanded its technology investment banking franchise with the appointment of Jason Auerbach as the Global Head of Technology Investment Banking, as well as the hiring of 10 additional Managing Directors. These senior hires have joined the Firm in New York, San Francisco, and Boston. Auerbach brings over 25 years of experience in technology investment banking and has advised clients on many of the industry’s most transformative and defining transactions. He joins from SVB Securities where he was the Global Head of Tech Investment Banking. Prior to SVB, he held numerous leadership roles at UBS.
Jupiter Fund Management’s Andrew Formicais is planning to retire from his role as Chief Executive Officer and as a Director of the Company, effective October 1. He will be succeeded by Matthew Beesley, the Group’s Chief Investment Officer, who will take up the role of CEO with effect from that time, subject to customary regulatory approvals. He will be appointed to the Board of the Company and promoted to Deputy CEO with immediate effect. Matthew will retain his global Chief Investment Officer responsibilities during the transition.
Kamesh Karra has been promoted to Managing Director at JPMorgan Chase. He is an experienced technology professional with a strong track record in delivering strategic solutions to complex real-time trading problems in Financial Services domain. He previously served as Executive Director. Prior to JPMorgan he held similar roles at Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley.
William Blair, a global boutique with expertise in investment banking, investment management, and private wealth management, has made two senior hires in the firm’s equities group. Paul Ordinario joins as managing director, south regional sales manager, and Chris Stella will serve as managing director in equity institutional sales out of New York. Ordinario was most recently at Truist Securities, where he served as managing director, and his experience includes senior equities positions at Guggenheim Securities, Lazard Capital Markets, and Cowen and Company. Stella joins William Blair with more than 14 years of experience. He also joins from Truist, where he spent seven years in equity sales.
Facctum, a regtech company specialising in cloud-delivered enterprise risk decisioning technology, has expanded its senior team with the appointment of Syam Chintapenta as Chief Development Officer and Onkar Inamdar as Head of Engineering. Chintapenta has over 26 years of professional experience in the banking sector. He joins Facctum from Apisero, where he acted as Chief Delivery Officer. Inamdar brings over 15 years’ experience in building customer facing applications across banking and pharmaceutical domains.
SEON has hired Matt DeLauro as the company’s new CRO. He will help the company as it works to prevent more online financial crime globally, leveraging his previous experience as CRO and General Manager of Extend.
