-Nomura appointed former Barclays tech chief Sameer Jain as CIO of its wholesale banking business, based in New York. Jain will have responsibility for Nomura’s Wholesale IT and Operations, ensuring that the firm’s technology architecture is aligned to support business requirements. Jain spent 13 years at Barclays, where he held senior technology roles including group chief technology officer and chief information officer. Before joining Barclays in 2006, he was director, global head of credit derivatives technology at UBS.
-Enfusion, a provider of native cloud-based investment management solutions and services, named Mike Berry as Chief Operating Officer, and expanded its Client Services function with three new hires. Berry joins Enfusion from Bridgewater Associates where he helped transform the Back Office, Fund Tax, and Legal & Regulatory functions to adapt to an increasingly complex regulatory environment. Prior to Bridgewater, Mike was a consultant with Bain & Company in New York focused on financial services and IT services strategy.

● Alan Polo, Head of Account Management. He was most recently the Director of Global Electronic Trading at Sanford C. Bernstein. He will be based in New York.
● Robert Taylor, Head of Client Support. He was most recently Executive Director of Middle Office Services at J.P. Morgan. He will be based in New York.
● Jeff Young, Head of Implementation. He was most recently Chief Operating Officer of Post Trade Technology at Citadel. He will be based in Chicago.
-Virtu Financial, a provider of global, multi-asset, financial services and products across the complete investment cycle, appointed Mary Mooney and Raya White as Co-Chief People Officers, tasked with developing and enhancing Virtu’s culture through employee development, mentorship, diversity and inclusion, and leadership programs. In her eight years at Virtu, Mooney has performed various roles within the company that range from Operations to Business Development to Human Resources. As Global Head of Recruiting, Ms. White has played an instrumental role in helping match Virtu teams with top candidates and also creating meaningful internship programs. Previously, Mooney was vice president at Goldman Sachs in their Securities Division and focused on electronic trading. White joined Virtu in 2016, bringing extensive experience from the technology sector, including most recently at Apple (seven years) where she helped launch and develop marketing strategies for iTunes before moving into recruitment software startup.
-Global Liquidity Partners hired Jim Gerdy to help GLP improve trade execution through strategy design and to improve order placement with quantitative skills and data mining. Gerdy brings an extensive background in data science, algorithmic trading and quantitative pricing in equities and futures. Most recently Jim worked for Susquehanna International Group and he has worked at several trading firms in Chicago including Hull Trading, TD Options, Citadel and Stafford Trading.
-FX HedgePool, which operates a matching engine for mid-market execution of FX swaps, hired Jim Webb, Judith Wheelan, and James Davison to senior business development roles. Webb, who was appointed EMEA Distribution Director, brings more than 20 years’ experience and specialist knowledge of FX risk management, execution, and best practices. He joins FX HedgePool from OJJ FX, an independent FX consultancy providing guidance and expertise in FX risk management and operations, which he established in early 2019. Prior to this, Jim was Managing Director and Global Head of Business Development for BNY Mellon’s passive currency overlay business. Wheelan was appointed Senior Business Development Consultant. She brings over 30 years’ financial services experience, spanning leadership positions in institutional sales and relationship management for UBS, Barclays, BNP Paribas, and DrKW. James Davison was appointed North America Distribution Director. He joins FX HedgePool from Citi, where he ran the North America FX bank sales segment. Before his time at Citi, he worked in FX sales at State Street and spent seven years at Barclays.
-Talos, a technology infrastructure provider that supports institutional trading of digital assets, hired Justin Schmidt as Head of Strategy. Schmidt joins Talos after three years at Goldman Sachs, where as Head of Digital Asset Markets he spearheaded the company’s crypto trading desk and overall digital asset strategy.
–David Kim left his role as U.S. head of equity client solutions at Bank of America to join Citadel, eFinancialCareers reported. Kim joined Bank of America in 2018 after six years at JP Morgan, where he was head of U.S. flow trading. He previously spent four years at Goldman Sachs.
