Prometheum, parent of a FINRA member firm and SEC registered digital asset securities alternative trading system, has appointed Chris Whitesock as Chief Security Officer. Whitesock brings extensive knowledge in cybersecurity, specifically in the blockchain space, to the Company as it looks towards the launch of its ATS. He joins from Blockchains, where he was VP of IT & Cybersecurity, responsible for building and leading six teams or committees, including Application Security, Security Operations, Corporate Risk teams.
Brian Hyndman will assume the position of Chief Executive Officer in addition to his role as President of Blue Ocean Technologies. Previous Chairman and CEO, Ralph Layman was named Non-Executive Chairman. Matthew Horisk, previously Chief Technology Officer was named Chief Information Officer and also assumed the role of Chief Operating Officer, previously held by Brian Hyndman. Co-Founder and Blue Ocean ATS Managing Director, Greg Shinnick, will be leaving the organization and will remain on the Blue Ocean Technologies Board of Directors.
Marija Zivanovic-Smith has joined IEX Group as its first Chief Marketing and Communications Officer. As a member of IEX’s executive leadership team, Zivanovic-Smith will strengthen the company’s strategic marketing, brand and communications function, adding talent and incorporating digital tools to drive growth for IEX’s exchange and technology businesses. Prior to IEX, Zivanovic-Smith had a successful 14-year sprint as a Fortune 500 executive at NCR.
Lou Maiuri has been appointed to President and Head of Investment Services and Eric Aboaf, Chief Financial Officer, to Vice Chairman of State Street Corporation. They will both continue to report to Ron O’Hanley, chairman and chief executive officer. Maiuri now has end-to-end responsibility for all facets of State Street’s Investment Services business, including client management, product, technology and operations. In addition to Aboaf’s appointment to vice chairman, he now has expanded responsibility for State Street’s Global Markets business.
Binance, the global blockchain ecosystem behind the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchange, has appointed Joshua Eaton, former Deputy U.S. Attorney in the Northern District of California, as Deputy General Counsel. Eaton will lead the organization’s legal affairs, supporting global compliance, investigations, and law enforcement coordination activities. Eaton brings over 20 years of experience representing the United States at the Department of Justice (DOJ) and in the U.S. Army.
Hawk AI, a global leading software platform for banks, fintechs, and payment companies has hired Steve Liu as General Manager for the United States. Liu joins from global fraud provider Feedzai, where he had been part of its senior leadership team over the past seven years. Before that, he has held various leadership roles at Ayasdi, CoreOne, and Netik over his 17-year career in Fintech.
