Barclays has added Sterling Auty as Vice Chairman focused on the Software sector in the Technology Investment Banking Group, based in New York. He will report to Kristin Roth DeClark, Global Head of Technology Investment Banking. Auty joins Barclays from SVB Securities where he was a Senior Managing Director on the Technology Equity Research team, and Head of Software Equity Research responsible for the build-out of the software sell-side equity research franchise. Prior to joining SVB in 2022, he was at JP Morgan for 25 years as a Managing Director of Equity Research focused on the Software sector.
Brown Brothers Harriman (BBH) has appointed Sarah Holmes as Global Head of Securities Lending. In her new role, Holmes will oversee product evolution, client engagement, and trading for Securities Lending. She originally joined BBH in 1995 and previously worked as Chief Administrative officer within BBH’s Systems and Technology discipline. In addition, Tom Poppey has assumed the role of Head of Product Strategy within Securities Lending. Robert Lees will remain as Global Head of Securities Lending Trading.
Bill Michael has joined regtech firm Novatus Global as Head of Strategy and member of the Board. He brings over 35 years of experience in financial services across capital markets, corporate banking and regulation as well as extensive advisory expertise. Prior to joining Novatus Global, Michael was UK Chairman at KPMG and previously held roles including UK Head of Financial Services and Global Head of Banking and Capital Markets at the firm.
Dan Allred has been appointed as North America CEO for Liquidity Group. Allred has over 20 years of banking and operational experience, including most recently serving as Senior Market Manager for the national fintech team at Silicon Valley Bank (SVB). Having spent over 20 years at Silicon Valley Bank, Allred was instrumental in establishing Silicon Valley Bank’s early-stage business in the Northeast U.S. He was able to develop strong relationships among VCs, accelerator programs and ecosystem partners, as well as repeat founders, CEOs and CFOs. Allred will will continue serving on the Board of Directors for FS Vector and as an advisor for Modern Treasury.
BNP Paribas has appointed Scott Carter as Global Head of Investor Coverage. Carter joined BNP Paribas in September 2023. Previously, he was Partner and Head of Trading and Portfolio Financing at AQR Capital Management. Prior to that, he spent 20 years at Deutsche Bank in senior positions, including North American Co-head of Prime Finance.
Xceptor has hired Fleur Sohtz as Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), based in New York. Fleur brings a proven track record across the intersection of data, financial and technology and has previously held CMO roles at leading firms including Team8, Analytic Partners, Collibra, and Cordium (now ACA Group). She brings over 20 years’ of international experience overseeing marketing and communication functions to support growth, drive innovation and deliver new solutions to the market. She has also held senior marketing roles at top financial services organizations including Markit (now S&P Global) and Thomson Reuters (now LSEG).
Lantern has hired its first Chief Revenue Officer, Tony Poulson. He brings over 30 years of fintech industry experience, with over 20 years in the private equity software space. Most recently, Poulson ran Broadridge’s nascent private equity blockchain business. Previously, he served as Director of Operations for Europe at Allvue Systems (formerly AltaReturn), where he led the company’s expansion in EMEA.
