T. Rowe Price has announced Ramon Richards as its new chief technology officer, leading technology business solutions, technology services, and enterprise architecture functions. Richards most recently served as chief information officer at Fannie Mae, where he led digital transformation and was responsible for software engineering, cybersecurity, enterprise data, infrastructure, technology shared services, architecture, and production support. Prior to that, he held several leadership positions with Fannie Mae, including senior vice president of integrated technology solutions and senior vice president of securitization and credit technology.
Piper Sandler has hired Brent Robbins and Alan Brodsky as managing directors in equity sales and trading. Robbins will lead the firm’s London equity office and focus on expanding research sales internationally. Brodsky will be based in New York and focus on trading with U.K. and European clients. Robbins previously worked at Credit Suisse Securities (USA), where he spent 17 years in various equity sales roles. Most recently, he served as the head of European equity advisory sales. Brodsky also joins the firm from Credit Suisse where he was head of New York and international cash sales trading. Previously, he spent over 20 years at BofA Securities, Inc., formerly Bank of America Merrill Lynch, as a sales trader.
Clear Street has expanded its technology leadership team with the appointment of Jonathan “Jon” Daplyn as Chief Information Officer and Hari Godbole as Managing Director and Vice President of Engineering. Daplyn joins Clear Street from Morgan Stanley, where he was instrumental in building a global prime brokerage business and served most recently as Head of Prime Brokerage Technology. Godbole brings to Clear Street more than 20 years of experience, including most recently at Cantor Fitzgerald, where he served as CIO of Cantor Fitzgerald Secured, CIO of Helix Financial Systems, and CTO of Post Trade Technology.
Sterling Trading Tech has appointed Brian Saldeen as Senior Risk & Margin Product Manager. Prior to joining STT, Saldeen held senior roles with E*Trade, Morgan Stanley and Apex Fintech Services. He started his career at Susquehanna Investment Group, initially trading equity options on the floor of the CBOE. His varied experience in trading and product management gives him a unique and extensive knowledge of risk management and margin applications.
R.J. O’Brien & Associates (RJO) has hired Tom Fitzpatrick as Managing Director, Global Markets Insights. Over a career that included nearly 39 years at Citi, Fitzpatrick cultivated a strong following across the globe for his insightful market commentary across asset classes. From 1999 until June of 2023, Fitzpatrick has been Managing Director at Citi, where he also served as Global Head of the CitiFXTechnicals product within the G10 FX business.
Schroders has made a series of promotions within its Americas Client Group. Phil Middleton, previously CEO of North America, has been appointed to CEO of Americas, and will expand his responsibilities to include Latin America in addition to the U.S. and Canada. Jon Mackay, previously Head of Platform Distribution,will take on the role of U.S. Head of Wealth. Nicolas Giedzinski, Head of US Offshore, will take on the role of Head of Wealth, U.S. Offshore. Additionally, Melissa Krajewski, Institutional Sales Director, will transition her role to focus within the Long-Term Asset Owners segment.
AccessFintech has appointed Gayatri Raman as President and Chief Operating Officer, and a member of the AccessFintech board. Gayatri brings proven experience of managing global capital markets companies and will drive AccessFintech’ growth globally. Raman joins AccessFintech from Clearwater Analytics, where she served as President of Europe and Asia.
Chatham Financial has hired Sam Graziano as a managing director in the financial institutions practice. He brings a two-decade track record of building, leading, and advising businesses in fintech and financial services. He joins Chatham most recently from Amount, where he served as Chief Commercial Officer.
Jos Dijsselhof, CEO SIX, has been elected as new Vice Chairman of the WFE at the Annual Meeting of the World Federation of Exchanges (WFE). The vote was unanimous. His period of office is two years.
