Uncategorized The Team That Makes a Nasdaq IPO Happen By Editorial Staff - May 5, 2016 ShareTweetShare 1 of 8 It takes a lot of work to launch on IPO on the Nasdaq marketplace. Traders interviewed the men and women who make an initial public offering happen in a market rife with volatility. Traders: What does your job entail leading up to an IPO? Karin McKinnell: I work with the private equity community. I head up our private equity outreach and I work with the portfolio companies in bringing them public. SecureWorks went public today, and Ive actually been working with them for close to 10 years. Traders: There are so many different cultures at the different companies, you have the startups with the young 30-somethings, you have the people here with the white hair. How do you translate those cultures and their unique concerns? McKinnell: Part of it is listening to the customer; definitely getting a good feel of their culture is important. For example, today with SecureWorks, we actually had a webcast going to all of their offices around the world. We are constantly customizing to each one of the customers and understanding how they present themselves and we leverage off of that and create a unique but consistent brand experience while theyre here.
