Neal will join as a new president of its markets group and is set ot begin on November 30. Neal was most recently global head of listed derivatives, markets clearing and fixed income market structure with Deutsche Bank. Neal has held senior leadership positions with Nomura International, Royal Bank of Scotland, Fidessa LatentZero and Goldman Sachs. She began her career at MFS Investment Management in an analyst capacity. Her senior management responsibilities have included service as global head of electronic markets, listed derivatives and prime services and COO of execution services; global head of electronic markets and co-head of FICC prime services; director of product development & professional services; and executive director, equities electronic trading. She will report to Curtis Arledge, vice chairman of BNY Mellon. SEC Commissioner Daniel Gallagher, who had previously announced earlier this year that he'd be leaving the regulator, said last Friday that his departure will be before October 2. Gallagher, who joined the commission in 2011, pushed to make it easier for small companies to raise capital and advocated for the agency to undertake a major review of the rules governing stock exchanges. Foreign Exchange settlement service provider CLS has hired Joe Ziccarelli as its head of relationship management for the Americas. Ziccarelli, a pro with over 20 years of experience, will lead a New-York based team and develop CLS's relationship management strategy for the region, with particular emphasis on participation expansion and deepening relationships with settlement members. . Most recently, Ziccarelli was chief operating officer for global FX markets at Jefferies. Prior to that, he held a number of senior FX roles, including COO for Global FX at Bank of America and COO for FX and Global Metals Citi hired Valery Barrier (pictured), a Deutsche Bank AG managing director in France, this summer. meanwhile Giacomo Ciampolini, the head of European block trades at Goldman Sachs, left to join Citigroup. Ciampolini will be head of equity capital markets in Italy for Citigroup as well as responsible for European blocks along with Suneel Hargunani. Ciampolini, who has 18 years of capital markets experience at Goldman Sachs, will join Citigroup in December and be based in London. TABB Group has hired Dayle Scher as a senior analyst in the company's research and consulting business, with a focus on technology and equities. Scher was most recently a vice president focused on operational technology at State Street in the firm's Global Exchange and Information Solutions unit. Quintin Price, a portfolio manager at BlackRock who oversees the firm's $944 billion fundamental active stock and bond investments as head of its alpha strategies business, announced his plans to retire. Price, who is 54, will return to London where he will remain a senior adviser for BlackRock through next summer, according to an internal BlackRock memo. Auerbach Grayson & Co, a New York-based brokerage firm specializing in global trade execution and exclusive in-depth research for institutional investors, hired industry trading veterans Doug Rivelli (pictured) and Todd Trimmer. Both Rivelli and Trimmer will serve as co-heads of the firm's U.S. Equity Sales and Trading desk. Also, the firm grabbed Jack Duffy who will serve as head of U.S. Trading. The additions of the three are part of an expansion of the firm's trading desk and global push. Overall, the team will consist of 11 highly seasoned investment professionals. Rivelli, Trimmer and Duffy have over 20 years of industry experience. Keith Cataldo has been appointed director of trading at Fenimore Asset Management, the investment advisor to FAM Funds, in Cobleskill, New York. Cataldo, a professional with more than 20 years of experience, was previously the global head of trading for TIG Advisors, LLC in New York City. The Securities and Exchange Commission named Robert Cohen and Joseph Sansone as co-chiefs of the Division of Enforcement's Market Abuse Unit. This is a national unit that focuses on complex insider trading rings and other abusive trading schemes and misconduct. The two have served as the unit's acting co-chiefs since the departure last month of Daniel Hawke, its inaugural chief. State Street Corp. named Lou Maiuri to head its Global Exchange business. Maiuri, an executive vice president and industry veteran with more than 25 years of experience in technology and financial services, will report directly to Mike Rogers, president and chief operating officer of State Street. Prior to joining State Street in October 2013, Maiuri held various roles at BNY Mellon including deputy chief executive officer of asset servicing, head of the global financial institutions group within the asset servicing business and also as a member of the Operating Committee. Earlier in his career, Maiuri held the roles of chief operating officer and chief executive officer of Eagle Investment Systems and worked at Fidelity Investments in both the fixed income and equity investments divisions. The market consultancy also promoted Matt Simon, a principal at the firm and its former head of futures research, to oversee the firm's consulting and advisory services business. Simon joined the firm in November 2005 as a research analyst, following four years with T. Rowe Price Associates. He was promoted to senior analyst in 2012 and named head of futures research in 2014. He reports to Anthony Perrotta and Andy Nybo, partners, global heads of research and consulting. Scott Rogers, who has served as Fidelity Worldwide Investment's head trader for EMEA since 2010, left the firm in July after having "decided to take a break from trading," according to a Fidelity spokeswoman. Victoria Kelly, the firm's US head of equity trading, will expand her role and take responsibility for the London dealing desk. She will report to global head of trading, Mark Northwood.
