After running various trading desks on the buyside such as the $5B quant hedge fund Freeman Associates and the $7 billion activist firm Relational Investors Alex Green has launched FuturePoint Advisors LLC. FuturePoint is a boutique management consulting firm that works with the senior leadership of both financial services companies and institutional asset managers on strategic planning, organizational effectiveness, and human capital integration. The company is based in San Diego. Green worked in Equity Capital Markets at PaineWebber from 1989 to 1997. After that he spent six years on the trading desk at American Century Investments where he led the firms efforts in alternative and electronic equity trading. Independent broker and fintech provider ITG announced that Andrew J. Larkin will rejoin the firm on April 11, 2016 as managing director in charge of POSIT Alert client coverage. Larkin will report to Jamie Selway, ITGs managing director and head of electronic brokerage. Larkin most recently worked at Bloomberg where he served as a Team Leader for the Tradebook product group. Prior to serving for Bloomberg in 2013, Larkin spent two decades at ITG in a variety of capacities, including Managing Director in charge of client coverage for the EMS and OMS product suite and head of East Coast sales and trading. He also established the brokerages first office in Europe. Larkin also served as head of client service in Morgan Stanleys electronic trading group. He started his career at Salomon Brothers. Bob Jain has reportedly left his role as global head of Credit Suisse Asset Management to share chief investment officer roles at Millennium Management. Based on news reports, the 45 year-old Jain will help Englander, 67, manage capital allocations and risk amid rapid growth and an expansion in fixed income and commodities, said the people, who asked not to be named because the information isnt public. The two will share investing oversight with John Anderson, Mike Gelband and Hyung Lee, heads of commodities, fixed income and equities, respectively, according to Bloomberg. ShareTweetShare
