NEW YORK (July 19, 2023) Axioma, Qontigo’s analytics business and a leading global provider of factor risk models, portfolio construction tools, and enterprise risk solutions, today announces an expanded partnership with Equity Data Science (EDS), to deliver hedge funds and asset managers access to its market-leading Axioma Equity Factor Risk Model Suite.
The partnership comes as EDS’s hedge fund and asset manager clients seek to enhance risk management practices amid fast-moving and increasingly complex market conditions. Leveraging a suite of equity models, EDS clients will better understand exposures and sources of risk in their equity portfolios, to drive data-driven portfolio construction decisions and deliver enhanced risk reporting to stakeholders.
Brian Rosenberg, Chief Revenue Officer at Qontigo comments: “We are pleased to partner with EDS to deliver their clients our institutionally proven factor risk models, inform their portfolio construction process and enable greater risk and factor awareness, particularly during continued uncertain market conditions.”
Greg McCall, Co-founder and President at EDS adds: “The Axioma Equity Factor Risk Model Suite offers comprehensive data that can be used in investment decision-making. The integration into the EDS Investment Process Management platform will provide our clients with seamless access to Axioma models, combined with our powerful risk management tools.”
Through Axioma’s open architecture approach, the partnership integrates the entire suite of Axioma Equity Factor Risk Models, which provide comprehensive insights into drivers of portfolio risk and return. Updated daily and with historical coverage going back to 1997*, the suite meets EDS client demand for fundamental, statistical and macroeconomic factor risk models, delivering a timely and intuitive set of views, across a variety of geographies and time horizons.
The addition of Axioma Equity Factor Risk Models to the EDS platform follows a successful earlier agreement to enable the distribution of data sets from Qontigo partner, SDI AOP – the asset-owner- led platform that offers a taxonomy for investing in the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
Established in 2017, EDS provides a scalable cloud-first platform, supporting investment processes, including idea generation, research management (RMS), portfolio construction, risk management, performance attribution and ESG analytics. Working with global investment teams, from analysts, traders, portfolio managers and risk analysts, to marketing and compliance teams, EDS streamlines and enhances workflows, provides robust decision support and offers clients a high degree of customization and integrations with third-party solutions.
