Trading community gathers for a day on the greens to raise funds in support of STAC operations and the STAC Fund Scholarship program
CHICAGO, IL July 30, 2024: The Security Traders Association of Chicago (STAC), a membership organization for individual professionals in the securities industry in Chicago and an affiliate of The Security Traders Association (STA), will host its STAC Classic Annual Golf Outing on Monday, August 19, 2024, at Ridgemoor Country Club in Harwood Heights, IL. The event will draw more than 140+ golfers and spectators from across the country to connect, build new professional relationships and support STAC and the local community.
“The STAC Classic launched over 30 years ago and is an amazing opportunity for STAC members to get off the desk and enjoy a fun environment where they can engage with their clients and network with the broader trading community while supporting STAC’s ongoing operations and charitable initiatives,” said Lauren Arbid, President of STAC and Director, US Head of Relationship Management at ABN AMRO Clearing USA LLC. “We’re incredibly grateful to our amazing sponsors who help us continuously scale this event and make sure it’s a sell out every year so we can fuel STAC and STAC Fund activities and support our ongoing mission of education, networking and philanthropy.”
Proceeds from the STAC Classic help fund STAC events and conferences that promote professional development, serve as a platform for influential leaders in the industry and provide a forum for networking. STAC members receive registration fee discounts for conferences, events and continuing education courses. The event also supports the STAC Fund, a 501c3 organization founded by STAC in 1991 to award college scholarships to deserving students and make grants to charitable and educational institutions. In 2024, the STAC Fund awarded 21 college scholarships for the 2024 – 2025 academic year to local Chicagoland students.
The STAC Classic will begin with a shotgun start at 12:00 PM and feature a Dinner and Awards Showcase at 5:00 PM. Spectators can register to watch the playoff and enjoy open bar, food and networking with the STAC community. 2024 sponsorship slots are still available here.
