Vesel Interactive’s data is now available as part of SS&C Technologies’ Eze Marketplace, Traders Magazine can reveal.
This development puts Vesel Interactive in front of the right user audience, and alongside big-name players already on Eze Marketplace, presenting a “huge growth opportunity for the Company and its platform,” according to Joseph (Joe) Wesley, Founder and CEO, Vesel Interactive.
Launched in 2013, Vesel Interactive is a platform that allows sell-side brokers to provide transparency and options liquidity to Vesel’s buy-side subscribers.
Vesel’s client base covers investment managers from major options players, large multi asset class asset managers and quant firms.
The sell-side broker contributors include independent trading boutiques, large global investment banks and global trading and execution firms.
In addition to joining Eze Marketplace, the Company continues to add new contributing brokers to Vesel Interactive.
“Being invited to Eze Marketplace and adding contributing brokers to our platform validates Vesel Interactive. Our partners and customers value the data transparency we provide and recognize that no other company delivers the kind of insight that we do,” commented Wesley.
“If you are trading options and you aren’t using Vesel, you are missing an important best execution data piece. The insight available on Vesel is not available anywhere else,” he added.
He explained that Vesel’s data is directly sourced from their contributing brokers and is all post trade, so it is “the most accurate and fully transparent” source of options trading activity available.
“There is no other provider that provides this data,” Wesley told Traders Magazine.
“It can be used as a discovery solution on thinly traded names as to who is really the active “axe”, also as a confirmation source as to all the players in a name or industry segment to assist in opening new trading relationships and finally as a data set to provide a unique and efficient, anonymous way for a buy-side investor to research activity in names on their watchlists,” he added.
The functionality provides interest (IOI) capability for the buy-side, as well as alerts on new post-trade transparency on a particular option or industry segment.
The data can be viewed anonymously, Wesley said.
Sell-side broker contributors input post-trade options trades directly to Vesel, so this information is accurate and pure, he added. From there, Vesel sends a file back to the sell-side firm’s compliance department.
“Contributing partners to Vesel and other industry leaders have begun to recognize the information the platform provides is unique and vital to their customers,” he said.
“Vesel provides a unique independent view of activity that can provide context as to why a particular trading decision was made with a particular broker,” he added.
Eze Marketplace provides plug-and-play access to turnkey apps and other solutions for risk, market intelligence, data visualization, workflow controls, chat, transaction cost analytics, and more.
Eze Marketplace has experienced a period of significant growth over the last 12 months and is available to Eze Eclipse and Eze OMS clients.
“We are always looking to provide our clients with ways to stay ahead and navigate the markets with confidence,” said James Griffin, SS&C Eze Executive Managing Director and Head of Global Sales.
“By embedding Vesel’s unique data and solution set within their Eze platform, our clients can transparently source liquidity. Access to this data helps achieve best execution by exposing the most active dealers in securities,” he said.
Along with these accomplishments, Vesel Interactive is marking its impressive growth by adding talent to its management team. Bruce Fador, an fintech industry and data expert, has joined as a Partner and senior advisor.
“Vesel will continue to add new contributors, new channels of distribution and also international options and derivative data in the future,” Wesley commented.
